I don&amp;#39;t think there&amp;#39;s anything wrong with asking your training partner to go light with you if you&amp;#39;re working with an injury. But like Gina said, ultimately it&amp;#39;s up to you to protect yourself. If you are in danger of seriously hurting yourself, then sit out. The time it takes to heal from a minor injury is a lot smaller than it will be if you grapple with an injury and make it worse.</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/5496739942189672685/2313398254579146738/comments/default/1406106114186481896'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/5496739942189672685/2313398254579146738/comments/default/1406106114186481896'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://www.thejiujitsufighter.com/2009/12/injuries.html?showComment=1262618327600#c1406106114186481896' title=''/><author><name>A.D. It would depend on the type of brace and if there were the possibility of any sharp edges cutting the mat or hard component that could interfere with grappling. Secondly, there is the issue of why you&amp;#39;re wearing the brace, since I don&amp;#39;t know if it&amp;#39;s temporary or permanent I won&amp;#39;t make any assumptions.
