"You look tired...long day?" Long week. All it took was a little itty bitty change in the schedule to remind me I ain't as young as I used to be. It's all good though. That which does not kill us, makes us stronger, right? So, basically I picked up three extra, long rolling sessions this week. I made it to all three of the late classes, so was up past my bedtime. I know, pretty lame, but in my defense I do have to wake up pretty early. Even though I got drug out this week, it all fits into my master plan to get better at Jiu-Jitsu. Plus, when I'm all worn out and exhausted, it's far easier to tap me out.
I had some great rolls on the mat today. My first match was with Patrick. I told him I was tired, so wasn't going to roll competitively today. He said that was cool. After a few minutes of very competitive rolling, I realized Patrick was probably cursing me, thinking that I had duped him. I was going to apologize to him in some fashion. I told him, "I know what you're probably thinking." He said something along the lines of, "I know you do. You taught me." His response made me chuckle. I wasn't expecting him to say that.
Long story short. I left the Dojo more tired than I already was. I'm really looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow morning.
