Prep for the State Games

We have a big week ahead of us in preparation for the CSG Jiu-Jitsu tournament this coming Sunday. This week we'll be focusing on getting everyone up to speed. On Monday, we'll talk about strategies and mindset for those who are competing. I want to share some thoughts and tips about preparing for the competition, as well as some logistical things for you to consider. For the experienced competitors, I probably won't have any new information, but maybe just some reminders to get you thinking about being prepared.

On Tuesday, we'll have a rules clinic. On Thursday, we'll have some mock matches. I'll do my best not to introduce any new techniques, but rather focus on honing your existing skills.

I stopped out to Waverly High School yesterday to watch the wrestling competition and see how they had it set up. I can't tell you how excited I am to be having our tournament in such a great location. Dan Davenport and Ryan Holz are really going out of their way to help us make our event a success. I can't thank them enough.
