The Food Bank of Lincoln has begun its “2011 Campaign Against Hunger” July 11 through July 22, 2011. Roseberry's Martial Arts Center, along with many other City, County and private companies participate each year in collecting donations of food and cash to supplement the Food Bank's efforts within our community. The Food Bank sponsors programs such as Neighborhood FOOD Program that supports approximately 1,300 families per week, a BackPack Program that sends food home with students in need, area Mobile Pantries that support families in surrounding communities, and more.A Food Drive barrel will be placed in the front lobby of the dojo to receive donations. We'll also have a barrel at the Cornhusker State Games Jiu-Jitsu Competition at the entrance to the gym at Waverly High School.
All donations to the Food Bank are tax deductible. Thank you very much for your support, which helps achieve the mission to alleviate hunger in Southeast Nebraska.
Contact Conan Schafer if you would like a donation receipt or to learn how else you can help with this worthy cause.
