Is Jiu-Jitsu right for you?

So, you're thinking about trying Jiu-Jitsu, but you're not sure if it's right for you. Here are a few simple questions you can ask yourself to find out:

1. Do you have a low pain-tolerance?

2. Do you hate sweating?

3. Do you hate hugging other people who are sweating?

4. Do you hate being choked, suffocated, crushed, or having your face buried in a stinky gi that is worn by someone who is sweating?

5. Do you hate when you have multiple bruises, sore muscles, pulled muscles, sprains, strains, lacerations, abrasions, swellings, contusions, dislocations, and other various injuries (some of which you have no idea how you got them)?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, then Jiu-Jitsu might not be right for you. Perhaps you should take up Jedi training instead.

This made me laugh: I just started Gracie Jiu-Jitsu in November - but I know what you mean already!
