Bull in a China Shop

Sometimes when I am doing drills or grappling with a guy, especially if it's a bigger guy, he will take it too easy on me. I'm talking about things like they won't actually put the subs on me, or they'll have me pinned, but you could drive a truck through the space between their body and mine.

I know they are probably terrified that they will crush me or crack my limbs, but I would like to assure them that they won't. I know this because not all dudes are afraid to use strength and weight on me. I've had a lot of it used against me, and I haven't been flattened, obliterated, or killed. I have tapped a few times because of it, but that's probably the worst that could happen. Despite my super-white skin, I am not made of china, I will not break.

I'm not saying I want all the men out there to start wantonly smashing me and trying to rip my arms out of their sockets, there are already a few bulls who do that. I am sure it is a difficult balance to know how much is enough, and what is too much. I can assure you that if you are being too rough on me I will tell you, or let you know by tapping. I suppose it is better to err on the side of caution, but don't take it so easy on me that I can't really train. As far as subs go, you can put them on me, just don't go so fast that I don't have time to tap (as you should do with anyone). When you pin me, I am able to escape out of the smallest places, so I need you to at least make contact with my body. If you have me "pinned", and you can see daylight between us, that is not going to help me in any way.

I have struggled with this in the past and it doesn't help that I'm a bigger guy! Interesting take Gina and thought provoking as always!!

Ken,
I was at Russ's doing my security gig. I need to test out my skills in live situations somehow;) I would love to come back and I have a bunch of excuses why I haven't, but I need to make it happen. It's still in my heart! I let everyone down, so I apologize for not being there to give back. Stay gold ken. Stay gold.......

You haven't let anyone down, Andy. You have given back to me, and the decision to come back or not is entirely yours, and should only be made because you really want to do it, not because you feel obligated to.
