Happy Holidays to our Dojo Family

Another twelve months of Jiu-Jitsu has almost come to an end. A lot of learning and laughing that will continue as we make our way into the new year.

Don't try to use Jiu-Jitsu class as an excuse to get out of holiday plans with your family, because the dojo will be closed on Thursday, December 24th, and Friday, December 25th. Hopefully we still have time to come up with a back up excuse!

Seriously, our families support us in our Jiu-Jitsu endeavors even when they don't always understand why we do it. So they are all also a part of our dojo family, and we wish everyone in it a wonderful holiday season.

On the twelfth day of Jiu-Jitsu,
My Sensei gave to me
Twelve chokes choking,
Eleven toe holds holding,
Ten arms a-barring,
Nine legs locking,
Eight toes a-breaking,
Seven joints a-aching,
Six mats a-burning,
Five guard passes,
Four shrimps across,
Three dragon walks,
Two monkey boys,
And a butterfly I can't break free!

awesome rendition of the 12 days of Christmas!

"twelve chokes a choking" is sure to be Conan's favorite line,
and "eleven toes a-holding" is surely Ray's favorite.

Aaron Duncan's would be something to the effect of "100 taps a-tapping"

Yeah Brent, that is who I was thinking of when I wrote those lines :) If there was a "12 triangles choking", that would be David K. Mine is definitely "8 toes a-breaking".

Nice reworking of the 12 days of Christmas. That 12 chokes a-choking was actually true for me last night at class! Thanks a lot, instructors!! ;)
