I Don't Wanna Die!

It happens every time you feel yourself getting choked out.

Yet this time that feeling came over me as I heard the ring of my phone. I picked it up and I knew the voice on the line. He said, "Brent, you're coming with me, we're going on a high speed chase."

Next thing I know, I'm in the passenger's seat and we're flying down a dirt road. He fills me in on the details. We're going to catch some drug dealers. I'm scared to death. I don't wanna die.

We race down the dark road, reaching 70 mph and then some. We reach the house and to the surprise of both of us, that annoying Josh kid who lived next door 20 years ago is in the back seat. The boss looks at me with a very annoyed look on his face. I know he doesn't want Josh there, and neither do I. We have work to do. He looks at me, with a serious look on his face and says, "I have a gun Brent, and I'll kill him. I'll kill him."

All of a sudden we see the drug dealers rummaging in the old house and we jump out of the car, breaking towards the house. I don't know why I came, only the boss has a gun. What help am I going to be? He runs toward the house, gun in hand. Josh goes on ahead too. I hesitantly follow, thinking to myself, "I don't wanna die!"

Then, I hear a beeping sound that repeats over and over. I open my eyes and it's time to get up.

(Anyone here like Joseph who was sold into Egypt? I need a dream interpreter)

I get ready for the day and head to work. At 3:30 I leave and head to the dojo to train. The boss is there, kind and considerate in his teaching, not wanting to kill anyone, whether it be drug dealers or annoying kids. We drill, then we do open mat. The first time he catches me in a Kimura . . . well, he Kimura'd both arms, to be honest-seriously. Both arms were tied up. I don't know how that happens.

We roll again. I keep him on his back for a few moments before I get distracted in my attempts to protect my arms and he catches my neck. All of a sudden, I think to myself, "I don't wanna die!" and I tap.

I often say this to myself when I'm in trouble (or simply when Aaron Hogg has me in side control). There is always a feeling of impending death when you are being choked . . .

There are only about three of us who understand what that was all about, but great prose. Since I'm a Spanish language interpreter, I might be qualified to interpret your dream. However, my experience is that reality is usually stranger than fiction.

Brent, thanks for the compliment, I feel the same way about you reversing the role. As far as the dream goes, here is may take, The boss is your current commitments. You feel obligated to see them through no matter what the outcome, or how sever they may be. The speed and the road are tied into the same, the road is dark, which in turn means you feel in the dark about your outcome, but you feel you are going very fast to that outcome, this scares you. You are a man who has the road usually well lit and you take an even pace, but not this time. Josh could signify an unwanted third party involving themselves in your commitments, take for instance, and only for instance since I don't know who else in your family reads this and would get mad, but your mother-in-law perhaps would be a good instance. As you near the end of this dream you begin to see that you are going to have to take action like the Boss and Josh, they are surefooted as they go ahead, but you lag behind and are unsure of the situation. You don't want to die- you aren't sure you are doing the right thing with one of your commitments. Now this is purely my interpritation, but I am sure with all you are doing in your personal life that at least one of your commitments is putting a strain on your brain. My professional opinion is come to Jiu Jitsu as often as possible, laugh a lot, and find a good balance of all the personal stuff. Just Don't DIE!!!!
