Training with the Master Chief

I love video games. Since I first picked up an Atari controller to play Pong, I’ve been hooked. In those twenty-some years I don’t even know how much time I have wasted in pursuit of 100% completion. In order to make myself feel better about this, I have come up with a list of ways that being a gamer helps with martial arts training:

1. Improved hand/eye coordination

2. Faster reflexes

3. Ability to make quick decisions

4. Patience- to wait for the right moment to attack

5. Knowing how to use combination's

6. Understanding that you can’t succeed every time

7. Ability to go long periods of time without food or sleep

8. Learning to fake out your opponent

9. Strong hands- particularly thumbs

10. Willingness to keep trying again every time you fail

Brent, you better get on the phone to Nintendo and market that idea before someone beats you to it! I'd buy it, I've been wanting to get a wii anyway.....
