You got something to say?

Maintaining a blog can be quite challenging at times. With all the investigative reporting and interviews for the articles, the constant research, keeping the sponsors happy, and the ever constant drive to keep the fans entertained, it can get out of control sometimes. In addition, the emails are constantly pouring in, “Hey, I really like your blog, check mine out and by the way, we should exchange links.”

The truth is that it’s actually been a lot of fun. I’ve always enjoyed writing and it’s been a wonderful outlet for many topics and has prompted some great debates. I’ve only had to delete a couple of comments, but that was just because I’m the supreme ruler of the blog and sometimes I feel like reigning down the fury from above onto the little people.

There are times when I don’t really have anything in particular to say. After a few days of staring at the same most recent post, I start racking my brain to come up with something insightful to write up. Every once in awhile, I’ll go to the blog and get all excited when I find that someone else has made a recent post. I think that having multiple contributors is the thing that really gives this blog its flavor.

As always, there is an open invitation to any of my students who wish to be contributors to The Jiu-Jitsu Fighter. It’s pretty easy to figure out and your first step would be to send me an email. You know it has to be easy. If Brent can figure it out, anyone can do it.

If you’re thinking you’d like to get involved, but aren’t sure what you’d write about, just get a hold of me and I can give you some ideas.

This is a great blog Conan, I always enjoy reading and watching the instructional videos. Maybe sometime I'll post some of my own thoughts on here. Thanks for hosting this!! :-)

I am constantly amazed at the amount of content you have on here, and wonder, how do you find the time? I also appreciate all of the other contributors, it's always insightful and enjoyable to read. As far as contributing myself, I think I would have to be an actual Jiu-Jitsu student to do so. And as much as I would like to be one right now (very very much!),my Karate training comes first (or big mean Sensei's may kill me :)

Thanks for the support. I got a call from someone today asking me if this post was the precurser to me getting out of the blog scene. Absolutely not. I enjoy this too much. I was just hoping to spark an interest in some others who may be interested in climbing on board.

Gina, When it's convenient come and talk with me.
