Wes is down for the count

One of our newer folks, Wes, suffered an injury the other day in Judo class. According to the Emergency Room staff, he partially detached his Achilles tendon from his calf muscle. Ouch! Needless to say, he'll be on crutches for a while.

Wes is keeping his head up. In the spirit of a true warrior, he said, "...life is tough. This represents merely another obstacle to overcome. I doubt it will be my last trial."

We're all hoping for a fast recovery for you. Stop in and keep us updated on when you'll be back.

I got an email from Wes today. He let me know he had gone to the orthopedic specialist this morning and no surgery is required. Another two weeks on crutches, followed by a couple of months with a cane, then another month or two of physical therapy before he can train again.

I hope that you'll keep on training when you get better. I think your accident was a fluke. That doesn't happen alot. Good luck!

Wes is a tough guy who gives it 100% every rep in class. I have no doubts that he will give his rehab 110% and get back to training as soon as he is able to. Speedy recovery Wes!
