Ido Pariente

Ido Pariente was Shihan's first Jiu-Jitsu student. Shihan had gone to Isreal to teach a Judo seminar when he met Ido. Ido initially decided to come to the United States to train for six months, but ended up staying a lot longer. While he was here, he became interested in the NHB fights being held at The Royal Grove, so he started focussing on the Jiu-Jitsu. I never met Ido, but Darin Brudigan, one of my first instructors, was one of Ido's students.

This is Ido's MySpace page.

is he on team minotauro or team mir? i don't have cable, so i will miss the show on spike.
the name "ido" is cool. interestingly, that's the name that my 18 month old son calls his older brother, Isaac.
"Ido" means "Isaac" in baby talk.

The contestants won't know what team they're on until the first show when they go through the selection process.
