I'm a firm believer in the time we set aside for live grappling. You could go to class everyday and learn some new technique or submission, but at the end of the day, they're a dime a dozen. Where you really earn your money is working it all out on the mat. A Jiu-Jitsu player has to not only master how to move his own body but also has to master how to move his opponent's body. You can't do this without the benefit of live grappling.

I think its the amount of open mat that makes sho rei shobu kan what it is. It sets us apart from other schools who spend to much time on tehnique
